Hugo's Pizzeria

The branding for Hugo’s Pizzeria was designed to capture the spirit of its namesake, the four-year-old son of owners Dave and Kara Bailey. To reflect Hugo’s lively, fun-loving nature, the identity is constructed from playful, custom-illustrated building blocks. Just as diners build custom pizzas ingredient by ingredient, the brand is built from basic forms that come together to create a more flavorful whole. 

The Baileys take pride in supporting local farms by using fresh, locally sourced ingredients. This practice comes to life in the pizza, and in one of the brand’s primary illustrations: a building block construction of the state of Missouri.
